EDD KEENE LIVE AT THE GLOBAL CAFE SATURDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER
I WILL BE PERFORMING AT THE GLOBAL CAFE IN READING AND THIS TIME IT WILL BE A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT.
I PLAN ON IMPROVISING THE SOUND TRACK TO PART OF A FILM. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS WILL TURN OUT LIKE. SO IF YOU WANT TO SEE THIS LIVE SOUND SCAPE PERFORMANCE THEN BE THERE FOR 10PM.

EDD KEENE LIVE AT DAY IN THE PARK FESTIVAL 2013
I WILL BE HEADLINING THE CULTURAL STAGE SO COME CHECK OUT MY SET IF YOUR ABOUT

30+ acts over 4 stages! Music, art, skateboarding, food, drink, workshops and more!!!
a FREE one day community festival taking place Saturday 14th September 2013 in Lowndes Park, Chesham.

WILKESTOCK FESTIVAL 2013 REVIEW
So I was only there for the Sunday and admittedly I was only there for a few hours to play my set and have a beer, but still I think I am allowed to have some thoughts about my short time at this festi.
First of all it's a non profit festival with all proceeds going to charity, which is awesome.....
It is nice and small, I like small festivals, and it is set up with it's focus on the main stage at the bottom of the hill with a nice big bar at the top. There was an acoustic stage hidden away at the back, a tepee cafe and some rather random but very cool hidden stage of some sort dug into the hill behind the cafe.
Run by Tom Wilkes and his army of volunteers and smiley people it was easy to get around and get myself set up on stage. The line up looked a gooden and the sun was out warming up all the peeps who chilled out on the sofas that lined the slope from the stage to the bar.
I felt my set was enjoyed, which is always helpful, and the sound was really good, so cheers to the sound dude.
It will be on again next year and I am hoping that if I get a chance I will go for the whole weekend, you should do the same.

EDD KEENE LIVE AT WILKESTOCK FESTIVAL 2013

SMALL WORLD FESTIVAL REVIEW
IT'S GOT BIGGER.... I'M SURE THERE WAS MORE GOING ON THIS TIME.
You gotta check out all the bands that played this stage as well as.....
The Small World stage, the Castle stage, the Box thingy wotsit stage and the bar stage.
I got to play on the Friday night on the Full Circle stage just after midnight, was great.
I have to say that one of my favorite things about this festival
is finding myself by the fire at six in the morning after having played a gig and
talking to interesting characters about random everythings....
The Bands i got to see were stomping!
Shame about the rain but hey, were all used to mud by now :)

BOOM TOWN FAIR 2013 REVIEW
So I got to perform at Boom Town this year on the Wandering Word stage. I am very pleased to have got booked for this festival. Ben Capp did the sound for me and I have been told that it was the best sound a lot of people have heard, amazingly clear. The Sun was out and those who were there for my gig were a pleasure to play to.
Wandering Word, a stage for more chilled out acts and Poetry, was hidden away in one of the many woods surrounding the festival. Everyone I spoke to around it was saying how it was the perfect escape from the madness that was the rest of Boom Town.
It's a proper party at this festival..... All the stages had awesome bands, the Sun stayed out as far as I am aware. If it did rain at all then I didn't notice. The escalator that takes you from Down Town to Up Town was constantly covered in people who looked like they had been awake for about twelve days.... Whilst everyone else had to dodge the festival taxis and other mad forms of transport that tried to get themselves up that massive bloody slope.
I didn't get to see the whole of the festival as far as I am aware as it was so huge. People kept telling me of places I had not heard of, would have helped if I had got a map as I wandered endlessly through all sorts of crazy areas and kept finding hidden away stages.
Arcadia was blowing some pretty massive fire balls and there were electric men shooting electricity through their heads at each other....!
I could go on, but the main thing I can say is..... If you get a chance to go next year then do it!
And if you see me in the program then come say hi and watch my loop pedaling. Nice one....

LAKE FESTIVAL 2013 REVIEW
To be fair I only really got to see the Sangers stage area at this festival as I was only there for the Friday night to do my gig. So.....
The Sangers stage was set up by the lake and was a collection of travellers wagons parked in a ring with a fire in the middle and bands on the back of a cart. It looked great with its light show, the sound was pretty good and when I got to play my set there was a fire spinner who joined me to add to the show.
Thanks to Dave for putting me on, wish I could have got to stick around.
The guys running Lake Fest were really friendly and so were the security! Had to be the most polite I have ever met, when they told me and this fella Oli that we were not allowed to bring glass bottles back into the festival, very polite and apologetic. Normally they would just get seized and drunk by someone else....

This is gonna be awesome. I keep hearing great stories about this festival but have not been booked to play until now and I am well chuffed to be playing.
I used to play a fair amount for the Wandering Word stage crew a few years ago
and am very pleased to be getting to do my stuff for them again.

SECRET GARDEN PARTY 2013 REVIEW
So I just got back from performing at this years Secret Garden party and as usual it didn't disappoint. It was as awesome as ever. I do have to say that I didn't get to see as many bands as usual because it was so sunny I spent most the time marching around seeing all the crazy madness that was going on everywhere, like the spiritual Olympics, the Pig racing, a petting zoo for Scorpions and naked trampolining.... This year there was a couple of extra added bits as well like the swimming pool of hippy soup!
The heat was relentless and it only rained on the Saturday night for the fireworks which had about three finales and are probably the best i have ever seen, much better than the ones you get out of a box, though there was no giant snake style one, that could be an idea for next year!
My main set was on the Small World stage on the Friday and went really well. My track "The Fisherman" went down really well along with it' story, which surprised me as it's my most chilled out track ever. If you wanna check it out follow this link. THE FISHERMAN

Next festival I am playing at is Lake fest 9th August on the Sangers Stage Friday night at 10pm, and then Boom Town the same weekend for Wondering Word on the Sunday at 6pm 11th August. See you there.
